About

Build a light station and the coast it stands on. The tower is modular: a battered stone plinth with a swinging door, drum stages plain, banded and windowed that repeat as many times as the tower is tall, a corbelled gallery with an iron railing, a ten sided glazed lantern room and a faceted dome carrying a vent cowl and a weathervane that both turn. The optic is its own model, a twelve panel lens drum on a pedestal that spins about the vertical axis, sized to stand in the lantern room or on the timber overhaul cradle that comes with it. Around the foot of the tower is the station: a stone cottage with a porch, a chimney and five sash windows, an outbuilding, a separate oil and fuel store, a water butt with a lifting lid, a coal bunker with a lifting hatch, a washing line, a drystone garden wall in 3 m modules with a matching gate bay, a flagpole and a signal mast with blank flags, a two wheeled handcart and a pallet of oil drums. The coast itself is a tiling kit of 6 m ground modules on a 1.5 m datum: wave cut rock shelf, tide pools, shingle beach, clifftop turf, a slipway that ramps from the land to the water, a cliff face backdrop in 6 m bays, and sea water plane modules at 0.35 m that meet the rock on the same edge ports, so a shoreline is one continuous ground with a ledge at the water rather than a hole in the plot. Working shore gear fills it: a jetty in 6 m bays on driven piles, mooring bollards, a rowing boat, a boat trolley whose wheels roll, lobster pots, a net on a drying frame, a marker buoy and a bell buoy, wreck ribs, driftwood, rope coils, a tackle crate, boulders in three sizes, a sea stack, a foghorn on its plinth, a life ring post, a lifebuoy stand, a storm lantern and a drystone cairn. Rigid node transform clips only, and there is no skinning anywhere in the pack. The sea, the foam, the fishing net, the rope coils, the flags and the washing are all static, because flexible material and moving water need a joint per element or a shader and neither is reachable with one rigid node transform; the foghorn does not move at all, since the sound is the moving part; and there are no people or animals. Every flag, name board, buoy marking and sign face is blank or an invented abstract shape, with no readable lettering: the tower banding, the buoy topmarks and the paint scheme are invented for this pack and copy no real lighthouse, authority, service or shipping company. Original AI assisted CC0 geometry in metres, +Y up, with grounded origins.

Common questions

How do I use Lighthouse and Rocky Coast with my AI development tools?
Press "Copy for AI agent" above and paste the prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or any other coding assistant. The prompt carries the direct CDN URL, the real-world size, the licence and the loading notes, so the assistant can fetch the pack and place it in your project without you writing the loader yourself. For a permanent connection, add the 3DAssets.dev MCP server to your tool with one command (for Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http 3dassets https://3dassets.dev/mcp) and the assistant can then search the whole catalogue, fetch files and read the usage snippets on its own.

MCP server setupGuide for AI agents

How do I get started?
Download the starter scene with the button to get every piece already placed as one .glb, or take individual models from the grid below, each with its own download and CDN URL. The JSON manifest linked above lists every file with its URL and size, which is what an AI agent uses to pull the pack into a project. Connect your agent to the MCP server and it can do all of that by itself.

MCP server setupAPI reference

Which game engines and tools can I use Lighthouse and Rocky Coast with?
Anything that reads glTF, which today means all of the major ones: three.js and React Three Fiber on the web, Godot 4, Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Blender and the model-viewer web component. Every model in the pack is a self-contained binary glTF (.glb) with textures embedded, and so is the starter scene, so each is one file to import and no plugin, converter or decoder to install first.
How do I import this pack into Unity, Godot, Unreal or Blender?
Unity: install the glTFast package (com.unity.cloud.gltfast) from the Package Manager, drop the .glb into Assets and drag the prefab in, or load it at runtime from the CDN URL. Godot 4: copy the file into the project folder and the editor imports it as a scene you can instantiate. Unreal Engine 5: File > Import with the built-in glTF importer, which converts the axes for you. Blender: File > Import > glTF 2.0. Units are metres with +Y up in the file, and every importer above handles the conversion to its own axes automatically.
Can I use Lighthouse and Rocky Coast in a commercial game, and do I need to credit anyone?
Yes to commercial use and no to credit. Every pack on 3DAssets.dev is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, which places it in the public domain: use it in a paid game, an app, a film or a client project, modify it, redistribute it, and put nothing in the credits. A link back is welcome but it is entirely your choice.

CC0 licence text

Can I load it from the CDN instead of downloading it?
Yes. The starter scene, one .glb with every piece placed, has a permanent URL on cdn.3dassets.dev that is CORS-enabled and never changes content, so you can pass it straight to GLTFLoader, glTFast or model-viewer in production and cache it as hard as you like. Downloading is only needed for engines that import from disk.
Do I have to download the whole pack?
No. Every model in the pack is a separate published asset with its own download and CDN URL, so you can take one prop or the entire set. The starter scene is the one-file option for people who want everything placed at once.
Do the models in Lighthouse and Rocky Coast fit together?
That is the point of a pack. The members are built together to one real-world scale with consistent pivots and a shared palette and level of detail, so a building, a vehicle and a prop from the same pack sit correctly in one scene without rescaling or re-texturing.
