About

A marina laid out as a place you can walk. From the yard you go through the pontoon gates, down the hinged gangway and out along the access spur to a main walkway 58 m long with finger berths at 4 m centres on both sides. Sailing hulls with their masts and rigging lie in the inshore berths, motor cruisers and larger yachts in the outer row, and the west arm ends in the fuel berth and the pump out station. Behind the quay wall the hardstanding carries the travel hoist over its dock, the mast crane, cradled hulls including one under a winter cover, dinghy racks, trolleys and road trailers, with the clubhouse, chandlery and race office along the back and a car park beyond. Race marks, a fairway buoy and cardinal marks stand out on the water at varied distances.

What moves. The gangway ramp tilts on its hinge. The pontoon gates and the dock boxes open. The travel hoist lifts its slings and traverses, and its wheels roll. The mast crane slews. The helm wheel on the sloop deck steers and its winch drums spin. Trailer and dinghy trolley wheels roll. The fuel nozzle lifts out of its holster. The chandlery, the clubhouse, the race office and the bin store all open.

What does not move, and why. Standing and running rigging, the furled sails, mooring warps, fenders on their lines and the flags on the mast are all static: flexible material needs a joint per element or a cloth shader, and neither is reachable with the rigid node transforms this catalogue ships. The water is a flat surface for the same reason, so the boats sit on it and do not bob or heel. There are no people anywhere, because nothing here is skinned. One honest limitation on the travel hoist: its beam and its sling cradle are siblings rather than a parented chain, so the traverse clip slides the beam while the cradle stays where it is.

Blank by design. Hull name boards, sail numbers, burgees, flags, signs, pedestal plates and berth numbers are all left blank, so the place is yours to letter.

The gangway
The hinged ramp tilts on its quay hinge the way a real one follows the tide, and the gate leaves either side of it open on their keypads. Everything past here floats.

Floating modules lay out at 8 m centres with the deck 0.34 m above the water. Tenders lie alongside on the short pontoons, cleats and warps run the length of both edges.

The berths

The west arm ends in the fuel berth: the pump nozzle lifts out of its holster, the pump out station stands beside it and a dock box opens on the deck.

The travel hoist lifts and traverses over its dock, the mast crane slews, and cradled hulls stand in a row with one under a winter cover. A sloop deck on a cradle puts the helm wheel at hand.

Which game engines and tools can I use Marina and Yacht Club with?

Anything that reads glTF, which today means all of the major ones: three.js and React Three Fiber on the web, Godot 4, Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Blender and the model-viewer web component. Every model in the scene is a self-contained binary glTF (.glb) with textures embedded, so each is one file to import and no plugin, converter or decoder to install first.

How do I import this scene into Unity, Godot, Unreal or Blender?

Unity: install the glTFast package (com.unity.cloud.gltfast) from the Package Manager, drop the .glb into Assets and drag the prefab in, or load it at runtime from the CDN URL. Godot 4: copy the file into the project folder and the editor imports it as a scene you can instantiate. Unreal Engine 5: File > Import with the built-in glTF importer, which converts the axes for you. Blender: File > Import > glTF 2.0. Units are metres with +Y up in the file, and every importer above handles the conversion to its own axes automatically.

Can I use Marina and Yacht Club in a commercial game, and do I need to credit anyone?

Can I load it from the CDN instead of downloading it?

Yes. The pack behind it has a permanent URL on cdn.3dassets.dev that is CORS-enabled and never changes content, so you can pass it straight to GLTFLoader, glTFast or model-viewer in production and cache it as hard as you like. Downloading is only needed for engines that import from disk.

Is the demo itself a file I can download?

No, and it does not need to be. A demo is a layout of the pack's published models composed in your browser from the CDN, so there is no extra file to fetch. Download the pack for the models, and take the layout JSON linked above for the placements: together they are the whole scene, and an AI agent can rebuild it from those two links.

Can I change the scene, or add gameplay to it?

Yes. The layout is plain data in metres, so move, add or remove placements freely in your own engine. Colliders, navigation and gameplay are yours to add: the demo shows what the pack looks like assembled, and your game decides how it plays.
