Garden Fork and Spade in the Earth (Allotments and Community Garden)
A digging spade and a four tine fork left standing in a heap of turned earth, both 1.15 m to the top of the D handle, with a real blade, tread and shoulder. Static: the tools and the heap are one model.
Tool Rack (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.14 m boarded tool rack that leans against a shed wall, with four hooks, a hand fork, a trowel, a ball of twine and a seed box on it. The hung tools are part of the rack and do not come off.
Standpipe and Tap on a Post (Allotments and Community Garden)
The site standpipe: a galvanised riser strapped to a timber post on a concrete pad, 1.2 m to a brass tap with a drip tray and a bucket under it. Nothing turns; the tap head is modelled in one piece.
Pallet Bench (Allotments and Community Garden)
A bench knocked together from two pallets with a third stood up behind for a back, 1.2 m wide with a cushion on the seat. The pallets are one static solid.
Striped Deckchair (Allotments and Community Garden)
A folding timber deckchair set up on the plot, 0.86 m to the head of the frame with a striped canvas sling. It is modelled in the open position: the frame is one solid and does not fold.
Water Butt on a Stand (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.6 m green plastic water butt on a timber stand, tapped at the foot with the bucket height a can needs, and fed by a galvanised downpipe swanning over into the lid. The tap and the downpipe are fixed: there is no water volume and no flow.
AnimatedAllotment Shed, Patched and Weathered (Allotments and Community Garden)
The same shed after a few hard winters: corrugated sheet nailed over the rotted boards, a patch on the felt, moss growing on the roof, a plank propped against the corner and the paint gone from the door. The door still opens; the propped plank and the patches are fixed.
AnimatedTimber Framed Greenhouse (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2 x 2.6 m cedar framed greenhouse, 1.5 m to the eaves and 2.26 m to the ridge, glazed all round and over, with staging and pots inside and a side hung door. The door is the only moving part; the roof vents are fixed lights.
Lean To Greenhouse (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2.2 m lean to greenhouse built against a 2.15 m back wall, its glazing falling to 1.15 m at the front in four timber framed lights, with staging of pots and seed trays along the back. It has no door and nothing on it moves; the glazing is solid geometry.
AnimatedHomemade Allotment Shed (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2 x 1.6 m homemade timber shed on bearers, 2.05 m at the front falling to 1.72 m at the back under a felt pent roof, with a painted door, a glazed window and a trodden earth step. The door is one node on its hinge stile, so the clip swings it open and shut.
Netted Brassica Cage (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.8 x 1.2 m timber cage 1.05 m high over a bed of brassicas, netted on all four sides and across the top against pigeons. The net is rigid geometry on the frame: it neither sags nor opens.
Potato Sack Planter (Allotments and Community Garden)
A hessian potato sack rolled down at the rim, 0.52 m tall, filled with earth and growing a haulm of potato leaf. The sack is a rigid solid; it does not slump or unroll.
Strawberry Bed with Straw (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.7 x 1.1 m low edged strawberry bed, strawed under the plants with six crowns in fruit. Straw and fruit are solid geometry; nothing is pickable.
Rhubarb Forcer (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 0.84 m terracotta forcer with a knobbed cap, stood over a rhubarb crown with two more crowns in leaf beside it. The cap is modelled in place and does not lift.
AnimatedSlatted Timber Compost Bin (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1 m square timber compost bin 0.86 m high, four corner posts with slatted sides and a heap of half rotted material in it, closed by a hinged board lid. The lid is one node on the back edge; the slats are fixed.
AnimatedCold Frame (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.3 x 0.86 m timber cold frame, 0.52 m at the back falling to 0.3 m at the front, sown with two short rows and closed by a single glazed light. The light is one node hinged on the back board, so the clip lifts it and drops it back.
Leaf Mould Cage (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 1.1 m square wire cage on four galvanised stakes, 1 m high, filled with autumn leaves left to rot down. The netting is modelled as rigid wire; it does not sag or move.
AnimatedPlastic Dalek Compost Bin (Allotments and Community Garden)
The council issue plastic compost bin: a 0.94 m tapered black cone with moulded rings, a hatch at the foot for taking compost out and a lift off lid modelled as a hinged node. The hatch is fixed geometry.
Row Cloche (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2 m glazed barrel cloche over a sown row, 0.34 m to the crown, held down by three galvanised hoops. The ends are open and the glazing is solid geometry; nothing lifts.
Plot Boundary Marker Post (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 0.82 m timber corner post with a hand painted plate on it carrying the plot number, driven in where one tenancy meets the next. The number is painted geometry, not a texture, so it reads at any distance.
Raised Bed, Empty and Raked (Allotments and Community Garden)
The same bed emptied and raked level for sowing, with the drill lines still in the surface. The soil fill is a solid block, not a digging volume.
Cane Wigwam with Climbing Beans (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2.05 m wigwam of six bamboo canes on a 1 m circle, tied at the head with twine and grown up with climbing beans. Canes and foliage are one static solid: a cane cannot be honestly driven by a rigid node transform.
Grass Path Tile (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2 m square of mown grass path between plots, 7.000000000000001 cm proud of the soil, with tufts left where the mower missed. Edge ports on all four sides.
Raised Bed, Planted (Allotments and Community Garden)
A 2.4 x 1.2 m timber raised bed 34 cm high on four corner posts, filled with soil and planted with three rows of leaf crops. Run ports on both ends, so beds lay end to end down a plot.
