About

Sixty one models for a dragon lair: forty posed animals and twenty one pieces of the place they live in. Five body types keep the set from being one animal repeated. The heavy four legged western dragon covers standing alert, walking, rearing, a full threat display with the wings spread, perched with the wings folded, coiled asleep, flying with the wings up and with the wings down, roaring, crouched to spring, feeding and slain. The two legged wyvern, which has no forelimbs at all, covers standing, spread, perched, both halves of the wingbeat, crouched and slain. The long wingless serpentine eastern dragon coils, sleeps, rears and swims through the air. The small wingless four legged drake stands, walks, crouches, roars and sleeps. The lindworm, which has forelimbs and no hind legs, stands propped on its arms, coils and rears. Four age stages run at one consistent scale, so the set stands together: the hatchling is 0.6 m nose to tail and about 0.2 m at the shoulder, the juvenile 2.6 m and about 0.85 m, the adult 7 m and about 2.3 m, and the elder 11 m and about 3.6 m. The wyvern is 6.2 m, the serpentine dragon 9.5 m of body, the drake 2.8 m and the lindworm 5.4 m. A blank 1.75 m scale reference figure is included so every one of those numbers can be read at a glance. Every animal in this pack is STATIC geometry in a baked pose, deliberately. The pipeline behind this library ships rigid node-transform clips and no skinning at all, so nothing organic here can be animated: the wings, necks, tails, jaws, legs and every scrap of flame are static, because a creature needs a joint per limb segment, per wing finger and per neck vertebra, and hinging those as separate rigid nodes tears the body open at every joint and reads far worse than one clean, considered pose. What you get instead is a pose that is correct from every angle, and a set of them that covers what a dragon in a game actually does: guard, threaten, fly, sleep, feed, hatch and die. The only animated models are objects: the treasure chest lid, the iron cage door and the display plinth turntable, all three rigid pieces on real hinges and axles. The lair pieces are eggs whole, cracked and hatching, a nest of four, a clutch on a rock, a coin hoard with cups and ingots, a banded chest, scattered coins, a gnawed bone pile, a bleached skull built on the same head profile as the living animals, a shed scale drift, a scorched ground patch, a claw marked ground plate, a six metre lair floor tile that lays edge to edge with no lip, a flat topped perch rock, a cave mouth arch, a cliff ledge, a chain and shackle anchor, a barred cage and a turntable plinth. The cave mouth is a backdrop and not an interior: nothing behind it is walkable and nothing is hidden under a roof. No dragon here is taken from any film, book, game or television series, by name, silhouette or marking; none of them is an individual and none of them has a name, and every colourway is invented. Metre units, +Y up, animals face +Z and rest at y=0 with the origin centred on the footprint. Twelve shared materials keep a three hundred placement scene inside the standard tier material budget, and the hide can be remapped per placement so a clearing of dragons is not a clearing of clones.

Common questions

How do I use Dragons and Wyverns with my AI development tools?
Press "Copy for AI agent" above and paste the prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or any other coding assistant. The prompt carries the direct CDN URL, the real-world size, the licence and the loading notes, so the assistant can fetch the pack and place it in your project without you writing the loader yourself. For a permanent connection, add the 3DAssets.dev MCP server to your tool with one command (for Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http 3dassets https://3dassets.dev/mcp) and the assistant can then search the whole catalogue, fetch files and read the usage snippets on its own.

MCP server setupGuide for AI agents

How do I get started?
Download the starter scene with the button to get every piece already placed as one .glb, or take individual models from the grid below, each with its own download and CDN URL. The JSON manifest linked above lists every file with its URL and size, which is what an AI agent uses to pull the pack into a project. Connect your agent to the MCP server and it can do all of that by itself.

MCP server setupAPI reference

Which game engines and tools can I use Dragons and Wyverns with?
Anything that reads glTF, which today means all of the major ones: three.js and React Three Fiber on the web, Godot 4, Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Blender and the model-viewer web component. Every model in the pack is a self-contained binary glTF (.glb) with textures embedded, and so is the starter scene, so each is one file to import and no plugin, converter or decoder to install first.
How do I import this pack into Unity, Godot, Unreal or Blender?
Unity: install the glTFast package (com.unity.cloud.gltfast) from the Package Manager, drop the .glb into Assets and drag the prefab in, or load it at runtime from the CDN URL. Godot 4: copy the file into the project folder and the editor imports it as a scene you can instantiate. Unreal Engine 5: File > Import with the built-in glTF importer, which converts the axes for you. Blender: File > Import > glTF 2.0. Units are metres with +Y up in the file, and every importer above handles the conversion to its own axes automatically.
Can I use Dragons and Wyverns in a commercial game, and do I need to credit anyone?
Yes to commercial use and no to credit. Every pack on 3DAssets.dev is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, which places it in the public domain: use it in a paid game, an app, a film or a client project, modify it, redistribute it, and put nothing in the credits. A link back is welcome but it is entirely your choice.

CC0 licence text

Can I load it from the CDN instead of downloading it?
Yes. The starter scene, one .glb with every piece placed, has a permanent URL on cdn.3dassets.dev that is CORS-enabled and never changes content, so you can pass it straight to GLTFLoader, glTFast or model-viewer in production and cache it as hard as you like. Downloading is only needed for engines that import from disk.
Do I have to download the whole pack?
No. Every model in the pack is a separate published asset with its own download and CDN URL, so you can take one prop or the entire set. The starter scene is the one-file option for people who want everything placed at once.
Do the models in Dragons and Wyverns fit together?
That is the point of a pack. The members are built together to one real-world scale with consistent pivots and a shared palette and level of detail, so a building, a vehicle and a prop from the same pack sit correctly in one scene without rescaling or re-texturing.
