Windbreak Bay (Caravan Park and Campsite)
One 2 m bay of a windbreak: striped cloth stretched between three timber poles, ported at both ends so any number of bays make a run round a pitch. The cloth is solid geometry and does not move, because a windbreak is only ever a sheet in the wind.
Canvas Bell Tent (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 3.6 m canvas bell tent on a single centre pole: a low sidewall under a coned roof with a metal cap, a pegged groundsheet, a zipped doorway and eight guy lines out to their pegs. The pole, the canvas and the guys are all fixed geometry.
Family Tunnel Tent (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 3.1 x 4.8 m family tunnel tent: three hooped bedrooms and a living end under one vault, a zipped front doorway, a rear vent panel, mud skirts down both sides and four guy lines pegged out. Everything is fixed geometry; the fabric does not move.
Caravan Porch Awning (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 3.4 x 2.6 m porch awning for a touring caravan's near side: a pole frame, a canvas roof falling from 2.25 m at the van to 1.95 m at the front, cream panels with a window and a doorway, an orange valance and a groundsheet. The open back butts against the van. Nothing moves.
Two Person Dome Tent, Blue (Caravan Park and Campsite)
The two person dome in blue with orange poles, so a tent field is not one colour. The geometry is unchanged.
Four Person Dome Tent (Caravan Park and Campsite)
The same dome pitched one size up at 3.5 x 3.2 m, for a family pitch beside the two person tents. Same construction, same fixed fabric.
Two Person Dome Tent (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 2.5 x 2.3 m two person dome tent pitched on its groundsheet, with crossed pole arcs over the flysheet, a dark zipped doorway and four guy lines pegged out. Nothing moves: skin, poles, guys and pegs are solid geometry, because fabric needs a deforming surface.
Camper Van (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 5.4 m panel van conversion: a cab with a raked windscreen and grille, a living body with tinted windows and an orange flash, a stowed elevating roof with a rack, and a sliding side door. The door slides and the four wheels roll; the roof is stowed and does not rise.
Folding Trailer Tent (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A folding trailer tent set up on its pitch: a box trailer on two wheels with a drawbar, coupling head and jockey wheel, the canvas pitched as a ridge over the bed with a doorway and a ladder. The wheels roll; the canvas is fixed, because fabric cannot be folded rigidly.
Static Caravan, Sunset Livery (Caravan Park and Campsite)
The static caravan in the park's second livery: the band under the eaves is painted orange instead of blue, so a row of holiday homes reads as more than one unit. The geometry is unchanged and the door opens the same way.
Touring Caravan (Caravan Park and Campsite)
A 4.4 m two berth touring caravan on a single axle: a chamfered body with a rooflight, tinted windows, a blue side flash, a near side door with a step, and an A frame with a coupling head, gas bottle and jockey wheel. The door opens and the wheels roll; the coupling is fixed.
Static Caravan on Blocks (Caravan Park and Campsite)
An 8.2 x 3.2 m static holiday caravan on concrete piers with a boarded skirt, a shallow pitched roof, tinted lounge and bedroom lights, a livery band under the eaves and timber steps to the door. The door is one node on its hinge stile and swings open.
Static Caravan with Timber Decking (Caravan Park and Campsite)
The same static sited for a long season: a timber deck runs the length of the front with a slatted balustrade round two sides and three steps down to the pitch, so the door opens onto boards rather than grass. The door still opens; the deck and the balustrade are fixed.
Yard waste bin (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Two wheeled 1100 litre yard bin 1.4 m wide: a charcoal moulded body with an orange lid that lifts, a steel comb bar and lifting trunnions, four castors and a cream waste stream label on the front.
Adjustable steel prop stack (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Bundle of eight adjustable steel props 2.1 m long stacked on two timber bearers with a banding strap: painted blue outer tubes with cream inner tubes, pin holes, collar nuts and square end plates, the way props are stored in a hire yard.
Wash bay frame with jet washer (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Open wash bay frame 3 m wide, 2.8 m tall and 2.4 m deep: a blue portal in box section with splash panels on three sides, a wall mounted jet washer with a lance in its holster and a hose on the rail, a brush on a hook and a yellow kerb.
Plant trailer with drop ramp (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Twin axle plant trailer 4 m long: a charcoal chassis with a chequer plate bed and yellow wheel arches, four road wheels, a hitch with a jockey wheel and a lashing rail, and a steel mesh ramp tailgate that drops to load a machine.
Site fuel bowser (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Bunded site fuel bowser 2.4 m long on a two wheel chassis: a yellow tank in a charcoal bund with a lockable cabinet, a delivery hose on a reel that turns, a nozzle in its holster, a filler cap on a walkway and red warning plates.
Towable tower light (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Trailer mounted lighting tower 2.6 m stowed: a yellow skid base with four outriggers and two road wheels, a charcoal generator cabinet, a nested mast carrying four flood heads on a cross bar, and a tow hitch with a jockey wheel.
Petrol floor saw (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Walk behind floor saw 1.4 m long: an orange chassis with a charcoal petrol engine, a 450 mm diamond blade under a steel guard that turns, a water tank over the blade arm, a depth handwheel and four road wheels.
Yard forklift with raising forks (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Three tonne counterbalance forklift 3.4 m long: an orange body with a charcoal overhead guard, a seat and steering wheel, a twin channel mast with a carriage of two forks that raise, solid tyres and a yellow counterweight step.
Site dumper with tipping skip (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Front tip site dumper 3 m long on four chunky tyres: a yellow chassis with a charcoal engine bay, a roll bar over the operator seat, a steering wheel and control lever, and a steel skip that tips forward on its front pivot.
Vibrating plate compactor (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Forward plate compactor 0.8 m long: a steel base plate with turned up ends on rubber isolators, a yellow engine hood over the exciter housing, a folding charcoal handle with a throttle lever and a lifting eye.
Trench rammer (Tool Hire Depot and Plant Yard)
Upright trench rammer 1 m tall: a charcoal ramming shoe on a bellows and spring case, a yellow engine and fuel tank block, a wrap round guard frame with a rubber grip and a recoil starter.
