About
Everything a developer needs to build a working laboratory and the cleanroom next door. The bench system is the spine: a 1 m module with cupboards or a three drawer bank, a wash up sink with a bowl really let into the worktop, and a square corner unit whose ports are set so a run turns a right angle against two walls, all at a 0.9 m worktop line. Over and beside it go the reagent shelf, the service spine of gas taps and sockets, the solvent shelf on its spill tray, the vented chemical store, the sharps bin and the waste bins, the stool at two heights, the writing up desk and a mobile whiteboard. Containment is a 1.5 m fume cupboard whose glass sash rises behind the fixed light, shipped closed and open, and a class two biosafety cabinet on its stand. The instruments are the working half of the pack: a centrifuge whose lid lifts and whose rotor spins, an autoclave with a wheel handled door onto a real chamber, a drying oven, an incubator, a glass fronted fridge and an ultra low freezer, a liquid nitrogen dewar with a plug that lifts out, a water bath, a hot plate stirrer whose bar turns in the beaker, a vortex mixer, a pH meter on its electrode stand, an analytical balance in a draught shield that slides, a spectrophotometer, a gel tank and power pack, a fraction collector on a turning carousel, a rotary evaporator whose flask turns in the bath, a vacuum pump, a particle counter and a differential pressure gauge. The glassware is authored as sets, because one beaker is invisible and six on a tray is a photograph: beakers, conical and round bottomed flasks, measuring cylinders, a twelve tube rack, a twenty five vial rack, petri dish stacks, tip boxes and a carousel of pipettes. The suite itself is modular: 2 m floor tiles in two finishes, a 2 m painted laboratory wall bay in two liveries, a 1 m flush cleanroom panel with vision and hatch versions, an interlocked door pair with its own vestibule, ceiling filter and service panels, a gowning bench and locker bank, and a walk through air shower. What moves is rigid node transforms only: the fume sash, every cabinet, oven, incubator, fridge, freezer, autoclave, locker and airlock door, the hatch, the drawers, the centrifuge, bath, gel and sample lids, the balance shield, the dewar plug, the rotor, stirrer, vortex, carousel, evaporator flask and stool seats. What does not move is said in each description and it is always the same reason: tubing, hoses, leads and cabling are flexible and this library has no skinning; the pedal bin linkage, the safety shower pull rod and the microscope focus racks are linkages or movements of a millimetre; and liquids, flame and screen traces are fluids and shaders rather than geometry. There are no people. Every label, fascia, screen, whiteboard and sign is blank or carries plain abstract shapes, no maker, supplier or institute is named or depicted, and nothing here describes a substance or a procedure. All original CC0 geometry.
