About

A complete working fish quay in one realistic family, built so a developer can assemble a harbour rather than dress one. The vessel is a steel stern trawler in three 7 m sections that butt on their own ports: a raked bow with its windlass, a parallel midship, and an after section built the way a stern trawler really is, with an open slipway trough running up from the transom between the side decks. Aboard it go the wheelhouse, the whaleback, the mast and rigging gantry, the net drum, the trawl doors in their rack, the stern ramp, deck and fish hold hatches, a crew cabin door, fender runs and a gangway brow. Ashore, the quay is laid from ported 4 m deck modules, 4 m by 3 m edge modules with the head of a wall ladder, 8 m harbour water modules and market floor modules with their channel drains, with a slewing pedestal crane, an ice plant hopper and chute, a fuel point, a weighbridge, lamp columns, bollards, rope coils, wash down points and gull deterrent lines. The market hall is built from a 4 m bay with a roller shutter, open fronted on to the quay, and fitted out with display slabs in two sizes on beds of crushed ice, ice trays, blank price boards, hanging and bench scales, filleting benches, a knife rack, gutting tables, offal bins, a chill room door and a lobster and crab tank, with chandlery and harbour office fronts behind it. The catch moves on fish boxes, box stacks, pallets, a barrow, a pallet truck and a forklift, and the gear side of the quay carries creels, net piles, a mending frame, buoy racks and bait barrels. Animation is rigid node transforms only: the stern ramp, hatches, doors, the bin lid and the forklift bonnet swing, the roller shutter and the forklift carriage and crane hook run on their guides, the net drum, hose reel and crane slew turn, the wheels roll and the hanging scale pan rocks. Nets, ropes, rigging, chain, hoses, hydraulic rams, water and ice are deliberately static: a flexible run or a fluid needs a joint per element or a shader, and neither is reachable with one rigid node transform. There are no people and no skinned meshes anywhere. The fish are market display props laid on ice, so the pack contains no animated or rigged creature of any kind. No real port, fishing company, vessel, registration, merchant, equipment maker or retailer is named or depicted, and every board, panel and stencil is blank. CC0 geometry prepared for human review.

Common questions

How do I use Fish Market and Trawler Quay with my AI development tools?
Press "Copy for AI agent" above and paste the prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or any other coding assistant. The prompt carries the direct CDN URL, the real-world size, the licence and the loading notes, so the assistant can fetch the pack and place it in your project without you writing the loader yourself. For a permanent connection, add the 3DAssets.dev MCP server to your tool with one command (for Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http 3dassets https://3dassets.dev/mcp) and the assistant can then search the whole catalogue, fetch files and read the usage snippets on its own.

MCP server setupGuide for AI agents

How do I get started?
Download the starter scene with the button to get every piece already placed as one .glb, or take individual models from the grid below, each with its own download and CDN URL. The JSON manifest linked above lists every file with its URL and size, which is what an AI agent uses to pull the pack into a project. Connect your agent to the MCP server and it can do all of that by itself.

MCP server setupAPI reference

Which game engines and tools can I use Fish Market and Trawler Quay with?
Anything that reads glTF, which today means all of the major ones: three.js and React Three Fiber on the web, Godot 4, Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Blender and the model-viewer web component. Every model in the pack is a self-contained binary glTF (.glb) with textures embedded, and so is the starter scene, so each is one file to import and no plugin, converter or decoder to install first.
How do I import this pack into Unity, Godot, Unreal or Blender?
Unity: install the glTFast package (com.unity.cloud.gltfast) from the Package Manager, drop the .glb into Assets and drag the prefab in, or load it at runtime from the CDN URL. Godot 4: copy the file into the project folder and the editor imports it as a scene you can instantiate. Unreal Engine 5: File > Import with the built-in glTF importer, which converts the axes for you. Blender: File > Import > glTF 2.0. Units are metres with +Y up in the file, and every importer above handles the conversion to its own axes automatically.
Can I use Fish Market and Trawler Quay in a commercial game, and do I need to credit anyone?
Yes to commercial use and no to credit. Every pack on 3DAssets.dev is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, which places it in the public domain: use it in a paid game, an app, a film or a client project, modify it, redistribute it, and put nothing in the credits. A link back is welcome but it is entirely your choice.

CC0 licence text

Can I load it from the CDN instead of downloading it?
Yes. The starter scene, one .glb with every piece placed, has a permanent URL on cdn.3dassets.dev that is CORS-enabled and never changes content, so you can pass it straight to GLTFLoader, glTFast or model-viewer in production and cache it as hard as you like. Downloading is only needed for engines that import from disk.
Do I have to download the whole pack?
No. Every model in the pack is a separate published asset with its own download and CDN URL, so you can take one prop or the entire set. The starter scene is the one-file option for people who want everything placed at once.
Do the models in Fish Market and Trawler Quay fit together?
That is the point of a pack. The members are built together to one real-world scale with consistent pivots and a shared palette and level of detail, so a building, a vehicle and a prop from the same pack sit correctly in one scene without rescaling or re-texturing.
