Walkable demo
Music Recording Studio and Instruments
Walk a recording studio: a live room with the drum kit on its rug, guitars, amps and a vocal booth, and a control room of console, monitors, racks and a tape machine.
About
A recording studio built from the pack's ported floor, wall, window, door, bass trap and screen modules.
What is placed. The live room holds the drum kit set up on a rug, the kick with its rack toms, the snare, the floor tom, the crash and the hi-hat each on its own stand, with a boom mic over it and a throne behind. Electric, bass and acoustic guitars stand beside a combo and a bass stack with the pedal board and its leads. A vocal mic with a pop shield sits inside isolation screens, and an upright piano and a synth on an X stand line the treated wall, with acoustic panels, bass traps and ceiling clouds around them and flight cases, a cable drum, stools, music stands, bottles and mugs between. Through the control room window, the console faces the monitors on stands, the screen desk, the patch bay, the outboard racks, the headphones on their hook and the tape machine.
What moves. The flight case lids lift, the rack drawer pulls out, the cable drum spins, both tape machine reels turn, the desk chair spins, the studio door opens and closes and the cymbals tilt at their stand mounts.
What does not move, and why. Guitar and piano strings, patch and instrument cables, the headphone cable and the acoustic panel cloth are static geometry: each is a string, a cable or cloth, and none is reachable with the rigid node transforms this library uses. There are no musicians, because nothing here is skinned.
Every piece here is a published model from the pack, placed by hand. Walk with the keys or touch, and approach a piece to see it move if it has animation. Colliders, navigation and gameplay are yours to add.

Models in this demo
Studio Floor Module (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1 m square floating floor module in oak boards on a resilient mat, 30 mm thick, with floor-left, floor-right, floor-front and floor-back ports at the edge midpoints so modules tile both ways across a room.
Studio Floor Module, Grey (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
The same 1 m floating floor module in a grey painted finish, for a control room floor that reads apart from the live room next door.
Acoustic Wall Panel Module (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.2 m wall module 2.4 m tall: a stud wall with a skirting and a framed 50 mm acoustic absorber in grey fabric on its face, with wall-left and wall-right ports at half height so modules run into each other, into a window module or into a corner bass trap.
Studio Door Module (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.2 m wall module 2.4 m tall with a heavy acoustic studio door: a 860 by 2040 mm leaf with a fabric inset, a lever handle and three hinges, in a timber lined frame with a skirting. It carries the same wall-left and wall-right ports as the acoustic panel module.
Control Room Window Module (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 2.4 m wall module 2.4 m tall with a 1.8 by 1.1 m double glazed studio window at 950 mm: two panes splayed apart in timber reveals, with a sill, a head and a skirting. Its wall-left and wall-right ports line up with the 1.2 m wall grid, so it drops into a run of acoustic panels.
Acoustic Wall Panel Module, Amber (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
The same 1.2 m treated wall module with the absorber wrapped in amber fabric, so a run of walls can be banded in colour instead of reading as a grey box.
Corner Bass Trap (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 2.4 m corner bass trap: a 300 mm column with a quarter round fabric wrapped absorber across its face, timber caps and a skirting. Its wall-left, wall-right and wall-back ports meet the end of a wall run on either axis, so it closes a corner or caps an open end.
Studio Rug (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 2.6 by 1.9 m patterned rug in teal, red and amber with a fringed edge, 10 mm thick. A kit is set up on one because it stops the drums walking and takes the ring off the floor.
Bass Drum with Two Rack Toms (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 22 inch bass drum in a gloss red finish on its spurs, with a badge ring on the front head, eight tube lugs and counter hoops, carrying a 12 and a 13 inch rack tom on a mount post and arms tipped toward the player. Together they are the front of a five piece kit.
Snare Drum on a Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 14 by 5.5 inch brushed steel snare drum held in a three-armed basket stand at 620 mm, with eight tube lugs, counter hoops, a strainer and a throw-off lever. The stand is a tripod on rubber feet with a telescopic column.
Floor Tom (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 16 by 14 inch floor tom in a gloss red finish on three rubber tipped legs, with eight tube lugs, counter hoops and leg brackets. It stands 600 mm to the batter head, which is where a five piece kit puts it.
Crash Cymbal on a Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
An 18 inch crash cymbal on a straight stand at 1.38 m: a hammered brass disc with a raised bell sitting on a felt and wing nut over a tilter, on a telescopic column and a rubber footed tripod.
Hi-Hat Stand with Cymbals (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A hi-hat stand with a pair of 14 inch brass cymbals: the bottom cymbal fixed on its seat and the top one on a clutch 70 mm above it, over a pull rod, a footboard and a rubber footed tripod.
Drum Throne (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
The same stool built as a drum throne: a wider, deeper padded seat at 550 mm on a three leg frame, which is the height and the spread a kit is played from.
Microphone on a Boom Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A counterweighted boom stand at 1.42 m with a large diaphragm microphone in its clip, angled down over a source 620 mm out from the column. The base is a rubber footed tripod and the column is telescopic.
Music Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A folding music stand at 1.06 m with a sheet on its desk: a perforated steel desk on a raked hinge, a telescopic column and a rubber footed tripod.
Guitar Amplifier Combo (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1x12 valve combo guitar amplifier, 620 by 555 by 260 mm: a covered cabinet with a cream grille cloth over a twelve inch driver, metal corner caps, a strap handle, rubber feet and a top mounted control panel with six knobs, a pilot lamp and an input jack.
Electric Guitar on a Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A solid body electric guitar in a gloss red finish on a folding A-frame stand: a waisted double cutaway body 460 mm long, two humbuckers, a scratchplate, a bridge, three controls and a jack, a 21 fret neck, a machine head headstock and six strings from bridge to nut.
Electric Guitar on a Stand, Natural Finish (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
The same solid body electric guitar and A-frame stand in a natural timber finish, for a second guitar in a rack without a repeated colour.
Bass Amplifier Stack (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A bass rig 1.24 m tall: an eight by ten inch speaker cabinet with a grille cloth, metal corner caps and rubber feet, under a rackmount amplifier head with seven knobs, a meter window and a status lamp.
Bass Guitar on a Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A four string electric bass on a folding A-frame stand: a 500 mm offset body in a satin graphite finish, two pickups, a bridge and controls, a long 20 fret neck and a two-a-side headstock with heavy machine heads. Four strings run from the bridge to the nut.
Acoustic Guitar on a Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A dreadnought acoustic guitar on a folding A-frame stand: a 500 mm waisted timber body 115 mm deep with a rosetted sound hole, a pin bridge with a bone saddle, a 19 fret neck, a headstock with six machine heads and six strings from bridge to nut.
Guitar Pedal Board (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A sloped 620 by 320 mm pedal board carrying five effects pedals in coloured enclosures, each with two knobs, a footswitch and a status lamp, patched together with short jumper leads.
Flight Case, Large (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)

The same ply flight case in a 560 by 400 by 400 mm size without castors, for microphones, leads and small outboard.
Studio Stool (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 660 mm padded studio stool: a round upholstered seat on a four leg steel frame with a foot ring and rubber tips, for a guitarist, an engineer or a spare seat at the desk.
Cable Drum (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 540 mm timber cable drum wound with black multicore, resting on its flanges with the tail led off and coiled on the floor beside it.
Water Bottle (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 750 ml water bottle 280 mm tall with a moulded waist, a printed band and a screw cap, for the corner of a desk or the top of an amp.
Synth Keyboard on an X Stand (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 61 note synthesiser on an X frame stand at 720 mm: a sloped control panel with six knobs, a display and a pitch strip over a keybed of weighted naturals and sharps, on a crossed tube frame with rubber feet.
Coffee Mug (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 350 ml stoneware mug 100 mm tall with a banded glaze, a loop handle and coffee in it, for the console armrest.
Isolation Screen (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A free-standing 900 by 1800 mm isolation screen: a framed 70 mm absorber in grey fabric on a steel post frame with weighted feet. Its screen-left and screen-right ports meet the next screen square or at a right angle, so three of them fold into a vocal booth.
Vocal Microphone with Pop Shield (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A vocal microphone at 1.54 m on a straight stand: a large diaphragm capsule in an elastic shockmount, with a 150 mm pop shield on a gooseneck clamped to the column, over a telescopic column and a rubber footed tripod.
Boom Stand, Empty (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
The same counterweighted boom stand with an empty clip, for a source that already has its own microphone or for dressing a corner of the live room.
Upright Piano (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.46 m upright piano in dark timber: a lidded carcass with a fall board, a hinged music desk, a keybed of naturals and sharps, a toe block with three brass pedals and four castors. It stands 1.31 m to the top.
Guitar Wall Hanger (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A timber backed guitar wall hanger: a screwed plate with a steel stem and two sleeved yoke arms 140 mm apart, which is the cradle a guitar neck hangs in. The plate sits flat against the wall.
Studio Wall Clock (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 260 mm studio wall clock: a matt black case with a cream dial, twelve markers, hour and minute hands and a red sweep hand. The back of the case sits at z=0 so it hangs flat on a wall.
Acoustic Ceiling Cloud (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.2 by 0.9 m absorber cloud on four hanging wires: a timber frame wrapped in grey fabric with 550 mm of wire above it and ceiling anchors. The origin is at the bottom of the panel, so placing it at the ceiling height less the drop hangs it correctly.
Mixing Console (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.98 m analogue mixing console on timber side cheeks: sixteen channel strips of four knobs, a switch and a 100 mm fader on a raked bay, a master section, a meter bridge with two meter windows, and an armrest along the engineer side. It stands 1.02 m to the top of the bridge.
Studio Desk Chair (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
An upholstered studio chair on a five star castored base: a padded seat and back with a gas lift column and a pair of tube armrests, 1.0 m to the top of the back.

A desktop monitor controller, 200 by 170 mm: a weighted wedge with a large volume encoder in a ring, four source and mute buttons and a small meter display.
Two Inch Tape Machine (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A two inch multitrack tape machine, the hero piece of a control room: a pedestal cabinet with a timber front under an upright transport deck carrying two 10 inch reels with spoked flanges and brass hubs, a head block, five transport buttons and two meters. 1.3 m tall.
Studio Desk with Screen Pair (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.6 m studio desk in dark timber with a steel underframe, a lower shelf and a modesty panel, carrying a pair of 24 inch screens on their feet, a keyboard and a mouse. The screens are turned in toward the engineer.
Patch Bay Panel (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 2U 19 inch patch bay: 48 quarter inch jacks in two rows of 24 with designation strips between them, on a rack panel with mounting ears. It stands on its bottom edge so it can be dropped straight into a rack.
Studio Rack Cabinet (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 1.15 m timber sided rack cabinet on rubber feet, loaded with 19 inch outboard: a compressor, a channel strip, a converter, a power conditioner and a patch strip, with meter windows, knob rows and rack screws, plus a shallow accessory drawer on slides.
Outboard Rack on Castors (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A 900 mm open frame outboard rack on four swivel castors, with a timber top, three pieces of 19 inch gear and a drawer in the bottom bay. It rolls between the control room and the live room.
Headphones on a Wall Hook (Music Recording Studio and Instruments)
A pair of closed back studio headphones hanging on a wall hook: a padded headband, two swivel cups with fabric pads and an alloy yoke, on a screwed wall plate. The plate sits flat against the wall with the hook 75 mm proud of it.
