Three metre impact pit in soft ash with the bomb still sitting in the bottom of it: a raised rim of thrown material, radial splash rays and the block half buried at the centre.

Gas vent in cooled ground: a 1.2 m collar of rock stained and crusted with bright yellow sulphur round a dark throat, the deposit thickest at the lip where the gas condenses.

Two metre plate of ground venting steam: bleached cracked crust round three open holes, ringed with pale mineral deposit and the dark wet stain a hot vent leaves.

Cluster of seventeen hexagonal basalt columns to 2.8 m, the cooling joints of a thick flow standing where the softer rock around them has weathered away, with broken column stubs at the foot.

The opening of a lava tube in a slope face: a 2.7 m arch of layered basalt coming out of a rocky mound, over a floor of frozen flow, with a fallen block apron outside and the passage dark a few metres in.
