About
The yard marker: a 5.2 m tapered galvanised pole on a bolted base plate under drifted snow, guyed by four wires, with a plain safety orange flag on a canvas hoist band, its free edge torn ragged by the wind. Dimensions 2.68 by 5.43 by 1.41 m (X by Y by Z). Metre units, +Y up, +Z front; the origin sits on the ground at the footprint centre unless stated otherwise. Wind blown snow, packed track snow, blue glacier ice, dark teal and safety orange station cladding, off white insulated panel, galvanised steel, gunmetal, black polymer, white and grey and teal cold weather cloth, warm window glow and cold blue marker light. Rigid node-transform clips idle drive the named parts on their own pivots. There is no skinning and no skeleton; every other surface is static. Original design: it carries no maker, station or product name, and no badges, lettering or logos. The flag is plain cloth carrying no emblem, badge or lettering. Only the flag node moves; the pole, the guys and the base are static.
