Coat hook run (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 1.2 m coat hook board for the wall by the door: an enamel board with a chrome pinstripe and five ball ended stainless hooks. Mount it at about 1.7 m; the origin is on the board base, so it sits where it is placed.
Jukebox (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A floor standing jukebox: a dark plinth, a turquoise cabinet with a blank glazed title window, a stepped coral crown and neon tubes arched over it and down both pilasters. The title selector is a named node that turns. Every label strip is blank.
Diner wall clock (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 480 mm chrome cased wall clock with a blank cream dial, twelve dark batons instead of numerals and a coral minute hand. The dial carries no wording or maker. Built facing +Z with the case back at the wall, for mounting at about 2.2 m.
Booth seat pair and table (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A complete booth: two coral vinyl benches facing each other with padded backs and chrome capping rails, and a pedestal table between them with a pale laminate top and a stainless nosing. 1.6 m wide, seating four, the table 720 mm to its surface.
Counter end stool with back (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
The stool at the end of the run, where a back is worth having: the same foot, post and footring under a coral seat with a low chrome framed backrest. Seat and back are one named node and turn together.
Counter stool (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A fixed counter stool: a weighted chrome foot, a single post with a footring and a coral vinyl seat pad on a stainless rim, 740 mm to the seat. The pad is a named node on the post axis and turns as a real stool does.
Counter run with chrome edge (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m bay of diner counter: a turquoise front with a dark toe recess and a chrome kick band, a pale worktop 960 mm to its surface with a full length stainless bullnose, and a low back shelf on the service side. Run the bays end to end.
Diner roof panel (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m square flat roof bay: an enamel deck with a dark felt field laid proud of it and a stainless edge trim on two sides. Tile it over the shell or the motel office to roof a building, and run the roofline band round the outside.
Diner wall panel (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m interior partition for the kitchen end: an enamel panel 2.6 m tall with a coral dado line, a dark skirting and a chrome capping, all standing proud of the panel face. Run the panels together to divide a service area off the dining room.
Chequer floor module (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m square of diner floor: a pale terrazzo slab with sixteen 500 mm squares, the dark ones laid proud of the slab so a field of modules never flickers. Tile it edge to edge under the shell modules to floor a whole diner car.
Diner glazed door (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
The entrance module: chrome jambs and an enamel head over a single glazed leaf with a turquoise kick panel and a full height push bar. The leaf is a named node hung on its left stile and swings clear of the opening.
Diner window bay (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
The 2 m glazed bay of the diner car: a fluted stainless sill, chrome jambs and a transom bar, a pane 1.62 m tall and an enamel head with a coral pinstripe. Run it beside the shell modules to make the window wall a diner sits its booths against.
Diner car module, narrow (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m length of stainless diner car shell: a black plinth, vertical stainless flutes, a wide chrome band with a turquoise stripe over it, a second chrome band and a coral pinstripe under the roofline, identical on both faces so one module serves inside and out.
Diner car module, wide (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 4 m length of stainless diner car shell: a black plinth, vertical stainless flutes, a wide chrome band with a turquoise stripe over it, a second chrome band and a coral pinstripe under the roofline, identical on both faces so one module serves inside and out.
Diner car curved end (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
The streamlined end of a diner car: a 3 m radius half round of seven fluted stainless chord panels on a black plinth, carrying the same chrome bands and turquoise stripe as the straight modules, with its own floor pan so the end bay is floored.
Diner roofline with chrome band (Retro Diner and Roadside Motel)
A 2 m length of diner roofline: an enamel fascia overhanging the shell on both faces with a wide chrome band, a coral pinstripe and a stainless capping. Sit it on any shell module at 3 m and run the lengths end to end round the building.
Fish market and trawler quay at landing time (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
A working fish quay in the middle of a landing. A steel stern trawler lies alongside in three sections with her wheelhouse, whaleback, gantry and net drum aboard and the stern ramp down over her slipway, held off by fender runs with a brow across to the quay. Ashore, the...
Buoy rack (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
A steel rack of marker gear: four dan buoys with their staffs and flags in the rack's hoops, three spare floats on the lower rail and a bolted foot each end.
Net mending frame (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
The frame a net is mended on: two raking steel posts on foot plates, a timber head bar and a lower rail, a lattice panel of net laced across them and a needle box on the ground.
Net pile with floats (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
A trawl net heaped on the quay: overlapping folds of solid netting about 3 m across with float clusters worked through it, a coil of line beside it and a ring of leadline on the ground.
Lobster and crab holding tank (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
A glazed holding vivier on a stainless frame: a 2.2 m tank with a water level worked into it, a mesh lid on its corner posts and a pump and chiller stack with its pipe run at one end. The tank is empty of livestock.
Single creel (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
One parlour creel on its own, for dressing a corner or laying a run along a quay edge without a whole stack.
Creel stack (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
Four parlour creels stacked as they come off a boat: timber base frames with weighted bars, bowed steel hoops, a netted shell over each and a marker toggle, each pot turned a little on the one below.
Bait barrel (Fish Market and Trawler Quay)
A coopered timber barrel with three steel hoops and a bellied stave profile, its lid leaning against it, as bait and salt are kept on a working quay.
