About

A 45 by 24 metre mill from 48 of the pack's 51 models: two of the pack's roofed ranges along the back of its own paved courtyard with the working floor in front of them, in the hall preset with warm light, the lamps hung at 3.2 m so they sit well under the ranges' own roofs and light the machines rather than the roof boards.

You start in the tenter yard on the centre line of the weaving range, looking down a 2.6 m aisle that runs from the entrance to a shelf of dyed cloth on the back wall. Four shaft floor looms stand two either side of it with a 2 m cross aisle between the rows, each with a work stool, a boat or end feed shuttle on the cloth beam and a thread guide stand. Cone racks, reed racks and the apron locker line the back wall, tension weight racks the side walls, and an inspection frame and a bolt cradle stand at the daylight end.

The covered wet bay alongside is the dye house, open on three sides so it reads from the yard: five enamel vats in a row over recessed drains, stirring paddles and lifting baskets, two rinse troughs and the wringer, the pigment jar cabinet and wash sink, the dye desk, and the steam press with its generator and ironing board. More wet work runs in the open beside it, where two vats, a trough and the wringer have room around them.

The yard between is the tenter ground: three rows of drying frames hung with indigo cloth, with lanes to walk between them, cradles of rolled cloth, the cloth shelves and inspection frames, and an outdoor cutting bench laid out in use. The second range holds preparation and the yarn store, with a double sided island of cone racks, the warping mill and beam stand, a winding desk and a spinning wheel, and its own bay presses, irons and packs.

Nothing moves. The pack ships no animation clips, so every mechanism holds its authored pose: the beams, treadles, wheels and swifts are static, and the vats and troughs are empty vessels with no simulated liquid. Colliders and the street outside are yours to add.

Which game engines and tools can I use Textile weaving and dye workshop with?
