Dinosaur floodplain

One valley from 40 of the pack's 45 models, 194 placements on plain ground in the outdoor preset with daylight. Eighty-odd tree ferns make the thickets, rings and belts that divide it into places; skull fossils, amber, footprint slabs and nests are the clutter.

You start on the south edge, on a trackway of footprint slabs, facing the standoff: the roaring tyrannosaurus and the charging triceratops, with two dimetrodon basking on a fossil outcrop to your left. East of the walk a ring of ferns hides the raptor nest, six velociraptors circling a nest of eggs and hatchlings, three deinonychus, compsognathus and a dilophosaurus pair, with the spinosaurus on the eastern edge. West is the ceratopsian herd, three triceratops and two styracosaurus, and beyond it the Ice Age steppe: bare ground with three woolly mammoths and two calves, woolly rhinos, megaloceros, a giant ground sloth, terror birds and two stalking smilodon. The middle of the valley holds a running flock of gallimimus and the armoured browsers (stegosaurus, kentrosaurus, ankylosaurus) with a carnotaurus behind them; the north-east is the hadrosaur nesting colony, parasaurolophus and iguanodon with three nests, a standing quetzalcoatlus and a giganotosaurus on the edge. Along the whole north edge stand the sauropods: the argentinosaurus, diplodocus, apatosaurus and brachiosaurus, watched by a standing tyrannosaurus and an allosaurus from the corners. Three soaring pteranodon are placed in the air over the valley, because the model is a wings-out flying pose.

Nothing moves: this pack ships without animation clips, so every animal holds its pose. The mosasaurus, plesiosaurus and ichthyosaurus are not placed because the demo has no water surface to put them under, and the two starter scenes are left out because they repeat animals already standing here.
