About
A 30 by 30 m dead end suburban street on Halloween night. The abandoned two storey house is built from the modular kit, closed on all four sides and roofed: ten ground bays, ten upper bays, four corner posts, six roof slopes, three ridge caps, two gable ends and a block chimney. Its porch is dressed with carved pumpkins, a candy bowl, a cauldron and a pennant banner, string lights run along both eaves, and foam headstones, a yard skeleton and cobwebbed bushes fill the front garden. A picket fence stands open at the gate, the kerb carries two sodium lamps, mailboxes, trash cans and a dropped bicycle, a station wagon sits crooked on the drive behind police tape and sawhorses, and a wood panelled van waits at the kerb. Corn rows, two scarecrows and a hayride wagon close the field edge; the shed stands open at the back of the lot behind a chain link fence.
