## About

A full research floor laid out from the pack, roughly 40 by 30 metres and open topped so you can see across it.

**What is placed.** Sixteen back to back bench islands run north to south, each with under bench cupboards and drawer modules, a reagent shelf and a gas tap service spine along the centre seam, and stools down the working sides. Every bench carries stock: beakers, flasks, measuring cylinders, test tube racks, vial racks, petri stacks, tip boxes and pipette stands, with instruments set among them. Ten fume cupboards close the north wall, five of them square on the head of the main aisle, flanked by safety showers, eyewash stations and waste. Biosafety cabinets take the east end of that wall. The west wall carries chemical store cabinets, a solvent shelf, a whiteboard and a particle counter. Prep and wash-up fills the south west, with sinks set into the bench runs and the autoclave and drying oven on a wall run that turns the corner. The cold store corner lines up upright freezers, fridges, incubators and two nitrogen dewars. A document corner with desks, a whiteboard and stools sits south of the main aisle. The cleanroom is a glazed block in the south east corner: cleanroom wall and window panels, an interlocked door pair, a pass through hatch in each face, a gowning bench and locker run, an air shower vestibule, differential pressure gauges, particle counters and ceiling filter panels over the gowning corner. All 62 placeable models in the pack appear.

**What moves.** Twenty eight models carry clips and every one of them stands beside the path. The fume cupboard sash lifts and its front door swings on separate clips, and two cupboards are posed with the sash already up. Autoclave, drying oven, incubator, fridge and minus eighty freezer doors swing. Under bench cupboard doors and drawer modules open. The interlocked cleanroom doors swing and the pass through hatches open. The centrifuge lid lifts and its rotor spins. The hot plate stirrer and the vortex mixer spin, the rotary evaporator turns its flask, the fraction collector indexes round, the water bath, analytical balance, spectrophotometer and gel tank lids open, the nitrogen dewar lid lifts, the chemical store cabinet opens and the lab stools turn.

**What does not move, and why.** Tubing, hoses, cabling, liquids, flame and screen traces are all static. Flexible material and fluid need a joint per element or a shader, and a live display needs a shader too: none of that is reachable with one rigid node transform, which is the only kind of animation in this catalogue. There are no people in the scene either, because the pack holds no skinned meshes.

**Scale.** The demo places the whole pack, so the browser fetches every model once and clones it. That is a larger download than a small demo, and it is the trade for showing a working floor rather than a lineup.
