## What is placed

A sorting hall about 16 by 20 metres, laid on the pack's own floor and walkway tiles and closed in with wall modules. The belt line runs the length of it: an incline feed, powered straights, a scanner arch, a weigh and dimension station, two diverter arms and a curve into the gravity rollers. Sorting chutes, bag frames and post bags line the east side, with parcel cages, roll cages, tray racks, pallets and parcel stacks filling the aisles. Two roller shutter doors open onto a dock with leveller plates, bumpers, a shelter frame and bay signs, a delivery van at each bay and a box lorry trailer out in the yard. A mezzanine deck carries the supervisor desk over the north end, and the east side holds the check in counter, lockers, canteen run, vending machine and first aid point.

## What moves

Conveyor rollers spin on the powered, incline, gravity and diverter sections, and the diverter arm swings across the belt. The label applicator tilts. The delivery vans open their side and rear doors, the lorry trailer opens, the forklift raises its forks and lifts its hood, and wheels roll on the vans, the roll cages, the pallet trucks and the forklift. The roller shutter, the locker bank and the vending machine open and close, and the wall extractor fans spin.

## What does not move, and why

The belt surfaces themselves do not run. Every clip in this library is a rigid node transform, so a looping belt is out of reach, and so are straps, cables and chains. There are no staff and no drivers, because nothing here is skinned. Every livery is invented: no real courier company or van manufacturer is named anywhere in the pack.
