## About

A walkable village of whitewashed cube blocks around a square, with a harbour along one side and a windmill on the headland at the west end. Everything a visitor meets is at ground level: the quay, the square, the taverna terrace, the lanes between the blocks and the chapel forecourt.

## What is placed

Every one of the pack's 60 designs appears. The waterfront runs the length of the plot as quay edge modules, with mooring bollards, harbour lamps, a stone jetty and fishing boats in two sizes moored at intervals. At the west end the quay gives way to a shingle beach with a boat hauled up on it and a working corner of net drying frames, net piles, creel stacks, fish crates, oars, buoys and an anchor coil, with the public tap and the donkey trough behind.

Two terraces of houses face each other across a back lane: cube blocks in three widths, a corner block and a barrel vaulted block, repeated the way a village repeats them, with gaps left as lane mouths. Stepped lane modules, loose step blocks, external stair runs and two stone arches fill those mouths. Roof terraces with pergolas, chimney pots, water tanks and balconies sit on the roofs as silhouette.

The square is cobbled square modules. The taverna front stands on its south side with a serving counter, eight tables, rush chairs, parasols, wine barrel tables, a menu board, a sign bracket and grape pergolas. The wellhead, stone benches, olive and fig trees, prickly pear, bougainvillea runs, potted geraniums, stone planters, herb pot shelves and amphora jar sets furnish the square and the lanes. The chapel sits in its own forecourt behind whitewashed wall runs with gates, with the bell wall beside it and cistern domes, bread ovens and laundry line frames along the back lane.

The sea is laid as water plane modules meeting the quay, backed by a plain water coloured ground plane so it carries to the horizon rather than ending in a hole.

## What moves

House, taverna and chapel doors open and close, and their blue shutters swing with them. The blue gates in the wall runs open. The bell on the bell wall rings. The windmill sail cross spins on its axle and the windmill tower door opens. The wellhead winds, the public tap handle turns, the bread oven doors open and the large fishing boat's hatch opens. Clips play as you come within a few metres.

## What does not move, and why

The canvas on the windmill sails, the nets on the frames and in the piles, the mooring ropes, the laundry on the lines, the bougainvillea and vine foliage and the sea surface are all static. Flexible material and moving fluid need a joint for every element or a shader to drive them, and neither is reachable with the rigid node transform animation this catalogue ships. The pack has no skinned meshes, so there are no people and no animals anywhere in the scene.
