## About

A 48 by 18 metre hall from 48 of the pack's 77 models, on the pack's own 6 m floor tiles inside its steel columns, cladding bays, roof trusses, roof cladding and ridge skylights, under the hall preset's cool light.

You start at the press end. The stamping press with its steel coil feeds the framing cell, where two welding robots inside robot fencing hold the body-in-white shell in the framing jig on the skid conveyor. The line runs the length of the hall: the primed shell, the paint booth with its bell atomiser robot and the painted shell inside, the oven tunnel and end door, the e-coat dip tank; then the overhead carrier rail curving over the marriage lift with the trimmed body hanging above the bare chassis, the skillet platforms, the wheel fitting station with its tyre stack, engine stands, line-side racks, kitting carts, andon towers and workers with torque tools; and at the end the roller test bed with the finished hatchback on it and the teal car in the delivery lane. A mezzanine walkway with its stair runs along the back wall, the roller door opens on the back, and the forklift with its driver, pallets of parts crates and mesh stillages move stock along the aisle.

What moves: the press ram strokes, the robots spin and swing, the conveyor rollers spin, the paint robot and oven door move, the carrier travels and the marriage lift rises, the test bed rollers spin, the car doors and bonnets open and the wheels roll, the roller door opens and the forklift rolls and lifts. What does not: the five workers are static posed figures with no rig, and cables, hoses and conveyor chains are static.
