## About

A 24 m by 16 m back alley trading at opening time, laid in one continuous tarmac surface with kerbs and gully grates down both sides. A counter ramen shop opens onto the west side through two 4 m bays under an indigo noren: an 8 m counter with eight stools facing the street, a four burner hot line with the stock pots on it under a stainless hood, a noodle boiling well with the basket in it, a basket rack, a prep bench, a chest fridge, a crockery rack, a meal ticket machine and bowls, gyoza and caddies left along the counter. Opposite, an izakaya behind a sliding lattice screen has put a standing bar, a charcoal skewer grill, two low tables with cushions and its crates, kegs and iced bottles out into the alley. Both sides carry a shuttered unit, one open and one closed, a vending machine row, signboards, lanterns on three spans of wire down the middle, an external stair to a first floor balcony with the washing out, extract ducts, condensers and the overhead cables between two utility poles.
