Free 3D model of a 3 m shade canopy on four cedar poles for a desert courtyard: a braced frame with a split cane matting deck, 3 m tall. Dimensions 3.10 by 3.02 by 3.10 m (X by Y by Z). Metre units, +Y up, +Z front, origin on the footprint at ground level. Standalone, origin on the centre of the footprint, on the pack’s 3 m grid so canopies butt into a run. Static: the matting is fixed to the frame and does not lift or roll, because cloth and matting are flexible and need a joint per element that a rigid node transform cannot give. Invented throughout: no real mosque, madrasa, city, institution or identifiable building is reproduced. Every pattern on it is an abstract geometric or interlace repeat, with no inscription, calligraphy or writing of any script, and there is no figurative depiction of a person or an animal anywhere in this pack. Desert palette: sandstone ashlar and darker stone, lime plaster, cobalt and turquoise glaze, cedar, split cane, brass, wrought iron, sand and courtyard green.
