How the cores are taken: a two post galvanised mast on a skid base carrying an orange drill head on a carriage, with a flighted core barrel and a cutting shoe reaching down to the snow, a hoist line over the head beam, a teal control box with a lit panel and cable runs between them. Dimensions 1.20 by 3.06 by 1.45 m (X by Y by Z). Metre units, +Y up, +Z front; the origin sits on the ground at the footprint centre unless stated otherwise.
